
World War II was well underway, carving its swath of destruction across all of Europe. Back in the States, all folks could do was wait for their fathers, sons and brothers to return home from the fight. To stay hopeful, they stayed busy.
They built things.
And so it was that a small, southern
yellow pine sawmill in Columbus, Mississippi, started turning
timber into lumber. We’ve come a long way since then.
